Jake Sweeney Jeep of the Cincinnati, Ohio area is inviting all of their dealership
customers to participate in our “Return to Devil’s Staircase” All Jeep
Road Rally event! This 4 X 4 road course designed for the novice four
wheel drive enthusiasts features 5 stream crossings up to 18” deep, a
spooky looking tunnel, a beautiful Covered Bridge and the once
notorious road known as the Devil’s Staircase!
WHO: Sponsored by Jake Sweeney Jeep this road rally is open to all Jake Sweeney Jeep customers
with street legal vehicles. 50 vehicles maximum.
ENTRY FEE: $45.00 per vehicle pre-registered, $55.00 day of the road rally. Only credit cards will be
accepted for this road rally. No checks please.
WHEN: Saturday, April 18, 2009. Rain or shine.
WHERE: The rally begins and ends at Ludlow Park in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Take I-275 to the
Lawrenceburg Exit. Turn left onto U.S. Route 50. Travel approximately 3 miles and turn right onto
State Route 48. Travel approximately 3.5 miles and turn left into Ludlow Park. Follow the park road
back behind the football field to the first picnic shelter on your right.
TIME: Registration begins at 9:00 am. Drivers meeting is 9:45 am. Rally begins at 10:00 am sharp.
COURSE: Approximately 56 miles long. Will take about 3 hours to complete. One pit stop. This is one
of our tamer 4 wheel drive trails, however, this rally will separate the men from the boys! The route
is mostly paved but has a couple of the meanest roads that southeast Indiana has to offer. During
the rally we’ll visit a covered bridge, an apple orchard, ford a stream bed five times that could
be up to 18” deep, pass through a small tunnel and drive up a lane known locally as the “Devil’s
Staircase.” Run this route and be able to tell your grandchildren about the day you drove up the
“Devil’s Staircase”! Prizes will be handed out to the top teams after the road rally courtesy of Jake
Sweeney Jeep.
