My alma mata the Into The Night Rally Club begins their
season this year with a Monte Carlo Style Navigational Rally
this March 28th, 2009.

I really enjoy running the Monte Style rallies for their is less
worry about the rules and if you made the correct turn, and
more time to enjoy the spirit of driving on a wonderful road
away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A Monte Carlo Style Navigational Rally is  a map
based rally, compared to a TSD Rally which is instructional
based.

In a Monte Style Rally, you are given the location of
the in-marker by way of clues given to you in route instructions.
At times you will find yourself on a majestic piece of the earth
taking a compass heading of a flashing light representing the

in-marker location. In other words all the pieces of information

are clues as to where the in-marker location is, and you need to
cross the hose at a pre-determined time calculated at less
than legal speeds on a preferred route. Now if you vary from
the preferred route you may have to make up some time!
Needless to say, It is a lot of fun.

This Year, the first ITN Rally is designed for the first time
rally enthusiast, with added complexity for the experienced. Thus
the name:

TRAINING DAY

Training Day is a 6 hour Monte Carlo style navigational Road Rally
designed to introduce first time participants to the sport of road rallying.

Entry fee is $40 for all classes. Only $20 with paid Stellar Luminescence entry.

FREE to any car with a first time participant. This will be the only
long ITN 2009 rally that is FREE to first time entrants,
and it will include a FREE navigators school.

This years Rallyemaster,  Tim Errington promises a fun and challenging rally
utilizing the fabulous roads of Northern San Diego County. This will be one
of the funnest Saturday’s you will ever have. Be Careful Road Rallying is addictive!

Rally Headquarters is at the Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Lane, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
Click here for MAP TO START.
Registration opens 11AM.
Beginners’ Navigators’ School from Noon to 1PM.

If you are new, ITN has put together a great how-to-rally video.

Come on out and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city
for a few hours, you won’t be sorry.

See you at finish!
