I was a little dissapointed that the 7 beginners and 6 Novices from Training Day did not show up at Total Recall. Was Sunday the issue? I had my friend, Glenn all set to bring his Corvette out to run with us, but his Navigator backed out due to the Sunday issue. He has to get up very early to go to work on Monday.
I guess the combination Porsche weekend did not work out so well either, I didn't see any “Superior” cars there. 8^)
Maybe we need to send out a survey to see what will get more teams involved?
It was really great to have all that competition in Group X! We had a really good time in spite of the car problems.
For the future:
1. It would be great if Midnight Run can be shorter, please. Long hours of driving through the night is very tiring and leads to incidents (and lost competitors).
2. The Cobra team are planning to work the September rally. So, count us in for the checkout drive.
3. The new timing format on the minute does not help us at all. I have noticed that beginners and novices scores have improved dramatically. I think we should continue this excellent change. Can you guys voice some support?
